What I'm thankful for....

I've been reading some of my older posts and realized that the long I wait in between each post the less focused, and longer they are. So from here on out I am committing myself to more frequent and concise posts. It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post, let's see how this moves along.

I wanted to do a Thanksgiving post of the cliche "what I am thankful for" variety, but I didn't so this is my attempt at redeeming my lack of timely efforts.

I am Thankful for...

-My Family
No we don't always get along. Yes, we probably hurt each other as much as we love each other. Yes, we are dysfunctional. But they're there when no one else is.

-My Mom
She is the most beautiful, loving, forgiving, supportive, smartest, honest woman I know. She loves me more than anyone I know. And she believes in me, that is all I could ever ask for.

When life give me lemons not only can I make lemonade, I can make a vinaigrette, limoncello, lemon curd, lemon cookies, lemon pound cake, lemon zabiogne, and lemon pasta.

-High Heels
I love ALL shoes and don't discriminate, but high heels take the cake. They make me feel like a woman. They can be pretty and delicate, or tough and gritty. When I wear them I am instantly in a better mood, AND look taller and thinner, and really what else is there?

-Minnesota Seasons
Autumn brings leaves changing, apple picking, football, and sweaters. Winter brings christmas music, the Holidazzle, hot cocoa, downtown lights, and the winter carnival. Spring brings Twins baseball, dome dogs, green grass, open-toed shoes, and fishing. Summer brings beach days, Lake Calhoun bike rides, my birthday, and barbecues. Thank you mother nature.

This particular week I am extremely thankful for my (somewhat) health. My family has been faced the mortality in a big way this week, my mother has been in the hospital since Monday and we are all praying for the best. Even though it isn't Thanksgiving anymore make sure you tell everyone important to you how happy you are to have them in your life.

What are you STILL thankful for?
