I'm about a month into my "diet" or as one of my co-workers called it a "live-it" because it's a lifestyle change. I'm working on losing the weight, and learning to maintain it. I've already lost 10lbs but I attribute some of that as water weight because I used Jillian Michael's 14 Day Cleanse & Burn. I don't usually condone diet pills, because they can be dangerous, and it's really important to know how to lose weight naturally (because you are more likely to keep it off that way), but I am the kind of person that if I make a change and after 2 weeks I don't see a difference either in the way my clothes fit, naked in front of the mirror, or on the scale-I get discouraged, and give up. So I tried a different approach hoping that it would jump-start my weight loss and keep me motivated, and it has!! But please if you consider doing something like this please consult your doctor before starting any weight loss program, and LISTEN to your body! I can't even express how important it is for you to pay attention to what your body tells you. For me it worked, and I am continuing to eat well, exercise, and burn the fat.
I have been reading a lot of food and fitness blogs lately (I want to add a favorites list linking to some of them...someday), like Carrots N' Cake, FoodFitnessFashion, and N Her Shoes, and I have been inspired by what they have to say! I find myself eagerly awaiting their next post, and going through past posts looking for recipes and workouts. I am inspired to continue this blog and keep writing, documenting my choices. I am going to try to document my food choices through photos to hold myself accountable like these ladies have (not that they need to hold themselves accountable but you know).
My other motivation is to be in shape for dance camp next month. It's the week after my birthday, and as a coach I will have to take some dance classes, and since I am taking my 2 summer coaches (young, thin, fit 19 and 20 year-old) I don't want to look like the old, fat, out of shape coach that just sits and watches. Bleh :( So goals, goals, goals.
I'm trying to work more and save for an (august.ugh) florida vacation, and my tattoo on my birfday (heeeey)!! The wax, and bikini will (hopefully, if I lose the flab) come before and during Florida. I've started guitar lessons, and chose the 5K I will be running in September, in fact I am starting my run training this evening once my boo gets home from work!
For now I am trying to work more, and save some money for the various things I have on my list, reading food, fashion, and fitness blogs, working out with FitTV, and at Anytime Fitness, looking up exercise classes to take so I don't get bored, shopping at the farmers market, and cooking.
This is quite long, so I'm gonna stop for now, and hopefully write another later tonight after my second workout of the day. I hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday and FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!
