Breakfast: 2 Trader Joe's whole wheat toaster waffles, Stonefield non-fat vanilla yogurt, blueberries and 1Tbsp maple syrup, ice coffee
Lunch: Salad: romaine, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, bell peppers and a vinaigrette with Buitoni's four cheese spinach ravioli in marinara (I added prosciutto-it was soooo good), and Starbucks Tazo Iced green tea (obsessed)
I'm already planning dinner, and thinking about heading upstairs for a cool Peach from my fruit drawer. Boo is gone with the car at work so I'm planning on a late night gym session, a couple hours of sleep and then another early in the a.m.
I find it's hard for me to get to the gym in the mornings because my sleep schedule gets so thrown off when I work nights. If I don't start work until 4 or 5 p.m. I don't get home until after midnight most nights, and don't get to sleep until around 1 or 2, so getting up before 9am is a struggle for me. I am a night-owl by nature so even when I don't work it's hard to get to sleep before midnight. And it's too hard to get to the gym after work because my feet always kill after being on my feet all night running around. And if Boo works nights and is home all day I don't want to go to the gym, I just want to be home together. So, I am still trying to find that perfect time of day to work out. I know the perfect time is whatever time I actually do it at, but I need to get into a routine, so that it just becomes a life habit for me. On days when I get up and get it done first thing in the a.m. I feel ah-mazing, and I find I make better more conscious food decisions throughout the day, but sometimes it is just too hard to get out of bed.
So when is the best time of day for you to get in your workout and why?
