Let's keep it short and sweet, and then get to the matter at hand.
Day 2 of 30 Day Shred. I didn't work as hard today because I'm really sore, and my shins were on screaming even during the first circuit. I feel like a bit of a wuss because of it, and Jillian's yelling started to get to me, so I pushed harder during circuits 2 and 3.
P.F. Chang's leftovers. Buddha's Feast with brown rice (with sriracha), and approximately 2.5 Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
I was feeling snacky afterward, so I had a clementine...
And a LaraBall, while icing my shins and reading blogs. This is my homemade version of the LaraBar. I love Larabars. But they are pricey, and so I had to do something about it. I bought a big thingamajig of Medjool dates, and got to work one day. I made peanut butter chocolate chip LaraBalls. I keep them in a bag in the freezer, and eat them cold, they're good.
Question, how long am I supposed to ice my shins for? It's starting to hurt.
So... the Meat Free Decision. I'm going to go Pescatarian. Little emphasis on the Pesc. And implementing Friday as a free day. I chose Pescatarian because I worry about my protein intake. I know it's probably bullocks because I'm an American, and of all the nutrients we lack, protein is not one of them. I worry that I won't have the good sense to do my research and find other sources of protein (besides tofu), and being slightly anemic, not getting enough iron. I've started taking a multivitamin, so it should combat my worries, and inefficiencies, so I do want to limit my seafood intake to no more than 3 servings per week. And the new institution of Friday Free day is mostly because I just went grocery shopping and I want to get through some of it. My mind may change again by the end of the day, I'll let you know.
